Lighting – Psychology of Lighting

  • Light and the colour of lighting can affect our productivity, mood, brain, and thinking processes. It can bring on headaches and migraines, and it can even affect our buying decisions. Special colour lighting is widely used in medicine for skin cancer treatment, medical equipment in general, motivation, and more.
  • High end grocers use a warm light colour for the display of meat, chicken, soup, and more. They do this to bring out the “live” warm colours in the food that they’re selling.
  • Jewelry and precious metals are displayed under a sharp, but warm colored bulb to enhance its shine while being displayed.
